KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Wade Barrett and his fellow members of The Corre let Kane and The Big Show know that the war between them is clearly still on in a devastating post-match assault. Barrett drove this message home with an astounding Wasteland to The World’s Largest Athlete.
Big Show & Kane def. WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater by Disqualification
In typical Corre fashion, Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson couldn’t stay away from the action. Their involvement cost Gabriel & Slater the match. But the disqualification conveniently preserved their titles. In a familiar Corre 4-on-1 onslaught, the odds were too much to overcome – even for two of WWE’s largest Superstars. Kane was brutally assaulted with sections of the steel ring steps, while Big Show was sent crashing through the announce table.

While on his European press tour for WWE Wade Barrett spoke with Sky Sports about his WrestleMania 27 plans, his debut and rise as a WWE superstar in 2010, the highest points of his career thus far, and his relations with former NXT mentor Chris Jericho! Highlights from the interview are as follows:
skysports.com: 2010 was obviously an amazing year for you. You began the year on NXT and by the end of it you were in a main-event match against John Cena at the TLC pay-per-view. Could you really take in everything that was happening?
WB: It all moved very quickly, you’re right. At the start of 2010 I wasn’t even a part of the WWE – I hadn’t debuted. I think in February we started the NXT show. By June, I’d won the NXT show, a contract on Raw and in the remaining six months, I main-evented five of six pay-per-views. It was huge for me; it was a real change of pace in my life and very exciting. It was very hard to take it in at times, especially how intense things were from SummerSlam until TLC. There was a lot of pressure on me to make sure I performed on Raw and on the pay-per-views; to make sure we delivered a good product to the fans. But it’s something I really enjoyed. It brought out the best in me and I responded pretty well to that pressure.
skysports.com: So what are your goals for 2011 and beyond?
WB: My main focus is to become England’s first WWE Champion. There’s never been one before, which is something that needs to be corrected very soon. There’s been so many great British and English wrestlers in the past and the fact there has never been a World Champion from this country is wrong. It’s my main focus to make sure that I am the first. On top of that, I just want to find my place in the WWE. I was on a lot of pay-per-views and I main-evented a lot of pay-per-views. I want to get myself back into that title picture with top guys and hopefully bring that title back to the UK.

HOUSTON – Wade Barrett sought to seek revenge against Kane for his unappreciative behavior last week after The Corre assisted him in a match against The Big Show. Calling The Big Red Monster “a great big chemical mistake”, Barrett then set out to make Kane regret his mistake.
Kane def. Wade Barrett by Disqualification
After his refusal to join The Corre, Kane paid a painful price when the group of renegades brutally attacked him, resulting in an immediate disqualification in his bout with Wade Barrett. Before total destruction, Big Show rushed to the ring to drive off the vicious attackers.
Big Show & Kane def. Wade Barrett & Heath Slater by Disqualification
Despite being banned from ringside by Teddy Long, Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel Jackson couldn’t hold back from joining the fray, launching a brutal four-on-one assault against Kane. After watching the assault from outside the ropes, Big Show eventually got back in the ring to help out his partner. The World’s Largest Athlete first blasted Jackson with a steel chair across the back. Then, as Barrett brandished the chair, Show drove the cold steel back into his face with a massive right punch. As The Corre scattered, Show slammed Kane across the back with the steel chair – perhaps payback for Kane’s chair shot in their one-on-one match last week.
