Hershey, PA – “When it rains, it pours” would be the saying for the run of misfortune experienced recently by Wade Barrett. After losing his rematch to new Intercontinental champion Ezekiel Jackson, Barrett was approached backstage by his former Corre teammates Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, who mocked the former champion for his recent losses.

Still seething after losing the Intercontinental Championship to Ezekiel Jackson at Capitol Punishment, Wade Barrett invoked his rematch clause. And before their title match evan began, Barrett attacked Jackson from behind on the entrance ramp. Although Barrett got off to a good start, his night ended the same way it did at Capitol Punishment – submitting to Jackson’s painful backbreaker.
After the match, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater spoke to their former Corre cohort, stating that they would be the ones to go on and win. Slater and Gabriel later proved themselves right by beating the Usos shortly afterward.
