Charlotte, NC – The mind games progress and escalate! Randy Orton has met more than a mental match in Wade Barrett, who refuses to let the Viper out of his sight as long as the Barrett Barrage continues its momentum.
Randy Orton def. David Otunga in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight
In complete control throughout the match, Randy Orton tossed David Otunga into various festive decorations in the arena. After a brutal DDT off the ring apron, it looked like it was game over for Otunga. But there was a glimmer of hope when Wade Barrett ambushed Orton. After downing The Viper, the brash Brit tossed Otunga back in the ring and walked away, thinking he set him up for the win. But WWE’s Apex Predator battled back, finishing off Otunga with an RKO.
Columbia, SC – Wade Barrett is always known to command a crowd’s attention, and such was indeed the case tonight as Wade was introduced as the guest commentator for the Raw bout between Barrett’s newest nemesis Randy Orton and Dolph Ziggler (along with Vicki Guererro in tow).
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler def. Randy Orton (Wade Barrett on Guest Commentary)
After scoring a surprise victory over Randy Orton, the arrogant Dolph Ziggler looked ready to grab his iPhone and start Tweeting about his triumph, but the United States Champion’s win wasn’t exactly hard-fought. Distracted by his rival Wade Barrett who was sitting in on commentary, WWE’s Apex Predator took his eyes off his prey for a split-second and ended up falling victim to a Zig Zag. It was arguably a cheap victory, but that didn’t stop Ziggler from celebrating with, of all things, a headstand.
WWE.com‘s Power 25 for this week puts Wade Barrett in the 5th place ranking (judging based largely on Barrett being the force behind his team’s winning at Survivor Series 2011). Check out the fullPower 25 on WWE.com.

Wilkes-Barre(tt), PA – Since Wade Barrett secured his position as the dominant players in the title picture after a career-defining victory at Survivor Series 2011, WWE SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long involved the English Superstar in a Fatal Four Way match to determine the number one contender to the title after Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan caused an uproar earlier in the show by desiring to cash in his case at SmackDown.
Daniel Bryan wins a Fatal Four Way match over Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Wade Barrett
In a whirlwind Fatal 4-Way Match, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Wade Barrett and Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes faced off to decide who would challenge an injured Mark Henry for the World Heavyweight Championship this Tuesday.
Just when Orton looked ready to close the door on Bryan in the conclusion of the explosive showdown, Barrett pulled The Viper out of the ring and extinguished his offensive with a DDT. Rhodes seized the opportunity, attempting to pin the fallen Bryan. However, out of nowhere, Mr. Money in the Bank turned the tide, locking in the LeBell Lock to make the Intercontinental Champion tap out.
When a frustriated Rhodes attacked Bryan after the bell, Randy Orton reentered to hit him with the RKO.
As a result of this victory, Bryan earned himself a World Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match against Mark Henry on a LIVE holiday edition of SmackDown, this Tuesday at 8/7 CT on Syfy.
Hershey, PA – Having proved his dominance the night before at WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, Wade Barrett took on Kofi Kingston (one of the opposing members in the previous evening’s traditional tag match) and, even with a momentary visit from Randy Orton, showed the WWE Universe yet again why the Barrett Barrage is a continuous and unstoppable force.
Wade Barrett def. Kofi Kingston
The man who led Team Barrett to victory at Survivor Series continued his powerful Barrage on WWE Raw SuperShow as he barreled through Kofi Kingston, but the British Superstar’s bout was shaken by a surprise appearance from Randy Orton. Momentarily taking Barrett off his game, The Viper kept a keen eye on the action from ringside as Barrett scored the win. The arrogant brawler taunted Orton after the bout, but the former WWE Champion did not strike. The Viper may be waiting the proper opportunity, but the former bareknuckle brawler will make it quite a daunting task.
NOTE: After this match, Wade Barrett and “Barrett Barrage” trended worldwide on Twitter!
