Indianapolis, IN – “Play with fire, you get burned,” said Wade Barrett via Twitter not long after the latest triumph of the Barrett Barrage took place in Indiana. Because of the events in the brutal Falls Count Anywhere match previewed earlier this week on Raw Supershow, the Viper will not see WWE ring action for the next 6 months and the Barrett Barrage continues to storm through the WWE towards championship gold.

Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton (Falls Count Anywhere) ends in a No-Contest; Orton Injured During Match

The beginning of the match saw the bare-knuckle brawler and the Viper on the inside of the ring, but it wouldn’t be long until the action spilled outside to the rest of the arena. After tossing Barrett into the crowd, Orton and the English superstar continued to battle until the referee, caught in the melee, was knocked out. The match went on to the backstage area where the battle between Barrett and Orton became just as intense as their TLC Tables Match just weeks ago. The fight even continued to an elevator where footage of the match is shown then from a security-style camera set up in the elevator. Not long after, the battle abruptly ended when Barrett threw Orton off a set of stairs, leaving him writhing in pain at the bottom as the English superstar callously exited the premises through the doors near the top of the staircase.

Dark Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Big Show for the World heavyweight title with Booker T as guest referee ended in a minute after Show hit Barrett with the WMD. Show then ran at Bryan, who pulled down the top rope causing Show to fall out. Bryan then quickly covered Barrett for the win. Booker T gets the mic and asks Daniel Bryan to hold up. Booker T and Daniel Bryan do spinaroonies to end the show.

Richmond, VA – The war is not over and the battle continues! Wade Barrett appeared on tonight’s SmackDown after delivering a vicious Wasteland to Randy Orton through a table on Raw Supershow this past Monday. It was unfortunate that Orton would be lying in wait to get his revenge.

Backstage Brawl: Wade Barrett and Randy Orton

After arriving to the ring, Wade Barrett was proud to show everyone once again the violence he inflicted on Randy Orton in the past few weeks, leading up to the events from Raw SuperShow earlier this week. After showing and reveling in the footage that spotlighted on the English Superstar’s attacks on the Viper, Wade then stated that this was clearly enough evidence to qualify him in a match against unlikely current World Champion Daniel Bryan.

However, it was only after Barrett left the ring that Orton made his attack. The two fought wildly in a brawl that led backstage and to the parking lot, where Orton delivered an RKO to Barrett on the surface of a car.

NOTE: During this segment Wade Barrett and “Barrett Barrage” once again trended worldwide on Twitter!

A huge thanks to @ChristheProff, Malcolm at Maxine-Source.org, and @starkittie8 for sharing excellent photos from the SmackDown taping in Richmond this past Tuesday!

The Football League Article – Famous Fans: Wade Barrett

Football-League.co.uk recently spoke with Wade Barrett about his other favorite pastime – following the footy, especially in supporting the proud Preston North End FC. The Football League also gets Wade’s thoughts on his visit to Deepdale earlier this year.

Famous Fans: Wade Barrett

It is never the wisest of ideas to try and pin down one of the biggest men in the WWE – but Wade Barrett will happily take a three-count if it means talking about Preston North End.

The wrestling superstar is a lifelong fan of the Lilywhites having been born in nearby Penwortham and began his support for the club at the age of five when his dad started taking him to Deepdale.

And even though he joined the WWE in 2007 Wade’s passion remains un-dimmed, even though he’s not had chance to get to a game for some time.

“It is difficult [to follow the games and news] because we are on the road a lot so I try to keep up to speed while travelling, and my dad keeps me updated too,” he told football-league.co.uk.

“Unfortunately we do not get enough time off as WWE is on for 52 weeks of the year so it has been several years since I last got to a game.”
