After honing his skills in Florida Championship Wrestling, Wade Barrett went on to win Season One of WWE NXT in May 2010. Barrett rose to power, notoriety, and dominance as the founding leader of the Nexus for the latter half of 2010 and from early to mid-2011 formed (and later disbanded) another alliance, the Corre, during his first reign as WWE Intercontinental champion. Mick Foley’s new children’s book, “A Most Mizerable Christmas” is now up for pre-order on Amazon.com with a release date of October 1st.
The book features kid versions of The Miz, CM Punk, Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Kelly Kelly and Natalya. John Cena plays an elf. Illustrations were done by Jerry Lawler.
Here is the official synopsis and photo of the cover of the book:
“For years The Miz has bullied his classmates—including Sheamus, Kelly Kelly, Wade Barrett, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, and Natalya—yet managed to stay on Santa’s list of good boys. When a new kid arrives in town, he shakes the foundation of The Miz’s selfish beliefs, and sets in motion a chain of events that results in The Miz trying to fool Santa Claus and his new helper, The Cenelf, on Christmas Eve! Will the new kid help everyone on Wrescal Lane enjoy the holidays while teaching The Miz a lesson, or will it be A Most MIZerable Christmas for everyone?”
Ottawa Sun columnist Tim Baines recently spoke with Wade Barrett about his post-injury return to the SmackDown roster. Barrett will be in Ottawa this Tuesday night as a part of the SmackDown television taping.
Barrett says the following about his return to WWE television:
“I’m going to be doing things to entertain myself. It’s a new style. There’s a lot more brawling, a lot more strikes,” said Barrett. “I’ve always been a fairly physical guy. You just have to look at my nose to see what kind of lifestyle I led … sports and fisticuffs. I’m a contact kind of guy. Ninety-nine percent of the time, I’m pretty laid back and relaxed, but I can get very intense quickly. I think it’s inevitable if you’ve been off the road and injured that you build up anger – things that I have to get out of my system.”
WWE.com recently featured Wade Barrett in some of his more brutal battles with the tougher Superstars in the ring.
Wade Barrett is certainly no stranger to a fist fight. The former bare-knuckle boxer has been in his share of brawls since he debuted in WWE in 2010. Take a look at some of Barrett’s most brutal battles with this video playlist, featuring clashes with heavy hitters like World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, Randy Orton and John Cena.
