Minneapolis, MN – The night after the brutal Elimination Chamber pay-per-view saw a Battle Royale being held on Raw SuperShow to determine who would be current WWE Champion CM Punk’s opponent in less than 6 weeks in Miami. Among the participants in the match included Wade Barrett, who had competed before in the previous night’s SmackDown Elimination Chamber match where he lasted over a half-hour.

Chris Jericho wins Battle Royale, becomes #1 Contender for WWE Title, Wade Barrett & Dolph Ziggler injured

With WWE Champion CM Punk joining the Raw announce team, ten competitors from last night’s Elimination Chamber Matches fought for the chance to face Punk on The Grandest Stage of Them All. One of the biggest threats was eliminated first when The Great Khali was tossed from the ring. Next to go was The Miz, as well as his dream of headlining WrestleMania. Next, Wade Barrett and R-Truth were both eliminated by Santino Marella. Then, Big Show eliminated Doph Ziggler by tossing him onto the announce table (NOTE: Upon Ziggler’s elimination, Wade Barrett’s arm was injured as he attempted to catch Ziggler, who overshot Barrett’s reach and landed face first on the announce table. Both men were legitimately injured and needed immediate assistance from EMTs). Out next was Kofi Kingston, who was sent flying from the ring by Jericho.

NOTE: After this match, “Wade Barrett” and “Wade and Dolph” trended worldwide on Twitter concerning the status of both Superstars.

UPDATE (Feb. 21):Thanks to Pro Wrestling Torch:

PWTorch reports that Wade Barrett was released from the Hennepin County Medical Center after last night’s RAW Supershow. Barrett was diagnosed with a partially dislocated elbow and doctors put the elbow back into the socket. Barrett was given morphine and released. Barrett returned to his hotel in Minneapolis with his arm in a sling.
Barrett likely won’t need surgery or a cast on the arm. He will be missing some in-ring time but probably will not miss WrestleMania 28.

If a poll was conducted amongst the WWE Universe to identify the most hated moment of the Elimination Chamber, from what we read on Twitter during the PPV, Wade Barrett’s fate would share the top 5 with the likes of Natalya farting, Santino Marella training like Rocky, the too easy conclusion to John Cena’s feud with Kane, and the absence of The Rock. Just the mere mention of how Wade Barrett’s match ended amongst his fans and – yeah – respectful haters is enough to send most of them into a fit of rage, with for some an overwhelming urge to get blackout drunk.

Do we really need to have fans coming to the shows with chainsaws as a means to express their deep displeasure before WWE realizes when they go a bit too far in their sense of humor? I mean, we all know the shows are based on storylines and (odd) booking, but tonight, at Elimination Chamber, we assisted to the destruction of a legend which was turned into international JOKE!

The fearsome Elimination Chamber usually accepts in its midst only the strongest, smartest, fittest and most brutal fighters each division of the WWE has. Due to injuries, the original cast of the SmackDown team was modified to add two new wrestlers: The Great Khali and Santino Marella. If the Great Khali’s presence could still be justified by his strength and attitude, Santino Marella – more like a comic relief in the WWE – didn’t seem to have his place into the Chamber, his character just didn’t fit with the overall atmosphere. His presence created a disturbance in the Force, and for that only, some of the fans just wanted to douse gasoline on Teddy Long and set him on fire.

But last night, we had a fighter who really fit with the chamber. A fighter who was the first on the battlefield, who started fearlessly against the Big Show, the same man who had eliminated him first the year before on Elimination Chamber 2011; a fighter who put down the world largest athlete alone while it usually takes three to four guys to do so; a fighter who lasted half an hour, facing all the other wrestlers one by one, using skills, strength, speed, intelligence, even escaping Daniel Bryan’s dreadful LeBell Lock! A rarity!

That fighter is Wade Barrett.

A man who two years ago started as a mere rookie on NXT with World Heavyweight champion Chris Jericho as mentor. A man who overcame the trials and became the Next WWE breakout star, but who didn’t arrive nicely, hoping to make himself known progressively. No, that man created an impact, he brought the other NXT rookies with him, created the NEXUS and blew the WWE with a wind of change that quickly turned into a cyclone of chaos. Everybody would remember the name of Wade Barrett after that… Probably until their dying breath.

That man – that mere rookie – was involved in deep and intense feuds, leading them like an expert with years of experience in the WWE would do, totally at ease with his acting skills, voice, eloquence and wrestling skills. That man tamed WWE’s golden boy John Cena, and inducted him into his group. That man also got during his first year on WWE two championship matches against Randy Orton, and also many PPV matches against John Cena, proving that he was as good as leader, than as solo fighter.

That man was later betrayed by his own group and went in exile to SmackDown. But he didn’t arrive there with a low profile option. No. He announced himself as the new Julius Caesar and once more, went straight to the biggest and strongest athlete SmackDown had to offer: the Big Show.

During his match, he was helped by two former faithful Nexus, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater, as well as Ezekiel Jackson. Together, they formed The Corre, a group of equals, sort of improved version of Nexus. For months, Wade Barrett and The Corre imposed their domination on SmackDown, gathering 3 championship belts in their midst. That group of equals was more a group of CORRElatives (ha! ha! Now you know why the 2 ‘R’), each with specific skills complementing the others for the equilibrium and efficiency of the whole group. But it was Wade who was the brain of the group, and lead them as a proud team to WrestleMania 27.

But all good things come to an end, and when that group finally split due to inner tensions, power hunger and misunderstandings, Wade Barrett had to start all over again, this time in solo career. On his path to the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT title, it took him months to rebuild himself and gain the credibility he needed. But one day, a Barrett Barrage rose from the darkness and went through anybody on his path to the World Heavyweight Championship. Wade Barrett soon happened to face one of his former foes for that Top title: Randy Orton. They had a few encounters, including their memorable match at TLC.

But every times Randy Orton thought he had defeated Wade Barrett, the Barrage was coming back to his face, and soon the viper learned the hard way that Wade had improved a lot since their encounter on RAW the year before, when he was still the leader of the NEXUS. Thanks to Wade, Randy won a few weeks of all expenses paid holidays after learning how to fly over steel stairs in… one lesson.

So in 2 years, Wade Barrett has accomplished much more than most of the other WWE Superstars, and has proven recently that he was someone to count with in solo and tag-team entertaining matches. The amount of haters on Twitter has reduced, sign that people are, if not liking him, at least respecting him.

And tonight, he started first in the Elimination Chamber, and lasted the longest. We could hear sometimes the crowd chanting “Let’s Go Barrett”, even when his opponent was… The Big Show! Until the end, we all believed he would become champion and the suspense in the public was growing with each passing minutes. Even the commentators were already seeing him as winner of this Elimination Chamber. Then, Santino Marella, the man who people usually think as a JOKE only good for comedy segments, came out of nowhere, and… pinned him, destroying everything that had been built so far in this match.

Had Wade Barrett been defeated by Daniel Bryan, well… the fans might have probably accepted it easier than this. Here, Wade displayed great skills, great contrivance and creativity, stamina, speed, intelligence and strength. A true Champion material. After the scabby Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett’s era would have undoubtedly brought back the honor and true value of the World Heavyweight Champion belt. But no, all his efforts were rewarded by being defeated by someone who’s seen as the village idiot by many. Someone who – after that despicable victory over the British bare knuckle fighter – started trending on Twitter… mostly due to angry mobs who wanted to give him a rigorous beating with a bag of herpes infected lemons while he would choke with his trumpet deep inside his throat.

So far, there has never been in the WWE a British wrestler becoming World Heavyweight Champion. This was something Wade Barrett wanted to correct since his younger age, in order to bring the light for his Queen and his Country. This Sunday, he arrived at a hair’s breadth of reaching his dream, before the now most hated clown of the WWE crushed his dream mercilessly and treacherously. While the viper is gone, Wade succumbs to a cobra? The WWE has a sense of humor that was definitely not appreciated by everyone.

Wade Barrett had said he had something to prove. Well he did! Wade Barrett proved us this Sunday that he was a true champion, in heart, and in skills.

This was what should have been, and this is how we truly see him, no matter what…

Milwaukee, WI – World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan once again overcame steep odds, outlasting Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, The Great Khali, Big Show and Santino Marella in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match. With his numbers-defying victory at Elimination Chamber, Bryan retained his title and assured his place in the main event at WrestleMania XXVIII.

Daniel Bryan Retains World Heavyweight Championship in SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match

In a match where the odds are inherently stacked against the entering champion, it’s fitting that Bryan would walk out with the title intact. Despite the fact that he’d never before experienced the unique torture that is the Chamber, the World Heavyweight Champion’s recent track record has certainly proven him as an odds-beater.

Over the course of his title reign, the submission specialist has overcome everything thrown his way, including a Triple Threat Steel Cage Match against Big Show and Mark Henry. But Sunday night’s Chamber Match would present unique challenges — and a bevy of formidable challengers — to the champion.

Wade Barrett, for example, entered with high hopes, big talk and the toughness necessary to back it up. The ideal combination of ruthless nature, English tenacity and unbridled ambition, the Barrett Barrage was seemingly tailor-made for this type of showdown.

There was also Cody Rhodes, who stood to gain enormously from a Chamber Match victory. Even though his Intercontinental Championship wasn’t on the line, Rhodes came into the Chamber with eyes on simultaneously holding the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships, a feat that would have elevated him to legendary status.

Added to the mix were two giants, Big Show and The Great Khali, each man possessing the ability to knock out an opponent with one blow.

And then there was the dark horse. After shocking the WWE Universe by winning an impromptu Elimination Chamber Wild Card Battle Royal, sentimental favorite Santino Marella replaced an injured Randy Orton, looking to capitalize on the biggest opportunity of his career.

(Continue the results at the bottom of this post)

NOTE: During this match, Wade Barrett trended worldwide on Twitter!

The first two men in the ring, Barrett battled Big Show one-on-one as the other four Superstars looked on from their pods. Next out of the gate was Cody Rhodes, who, working in tandem with Barrett for much of the battle, attempted to chop the giant down to size.

Santino was the fourth man to enter, and he immediately came face to face with Big Show, who was wholly apathetic towards the WWE Universe’s sentimental favorite. Next came Khali, but as quickly as The Punjabi Giant entered, he exited, losing a battle of giant against giant to Big Show.

The last man in his pod was the World Heavyweight Champion, and, not willing to wait for the clock to run its course, Big Show took matters into his mighty hands, laying waste to the chains on top of the pod and kicking through them with his giant-size boots. He then proceeded to lay waste to the champion inside the tight confines of the pod.

But Wade Barrett may have saved the titleholder, delivering a boot to Big Show and then, working with Cody Rhodes, the two men finally eliminated The World’s Largest Athlete. In Rhodes’ celebration, however, Santino snuck in and rolled the Intercontinental Champion up, sending him packing.

Barrett quickly tied Santino up in the steel chains and then turned his attention to Daniel Bryan, powerbombing the champion into the steel chains and slamming his head in the pod door.

Santino re-emerged, however, commanding Barrett’s attention and leading to a Bryan headbutt off the top ropes. Santino pinned Barrett, leaving the dark horse in the ring with the World Heavyweight Champion. But Santino would not pull off consecutive miracles, and Daniel Bryan — who was the last man in the ring — was the last man left standing in the end.

ELIMINATION CHAMBER is just a few hours ahead now, and the WWE Universe is becoming so electric that if someone could tap the energy that the WWE fans are generating, one could probably light the city of Miami during the whole WRESTLEMANIA show this April. Will John Cena succumb to the hate and disappear for a month prior to WrestleMania 28 as Kane predicted? Will CM Punk resist to Chris Jericho and remain the WWE champion? And who will come out of the SmackDown Elimination Chamber as World Heavyweight Champion?

Though earlier many winners were possible (Randy Orton, Big Show, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett), recent events allows to reduce the choice:

RANDY ORTON: has been injured during his match against the Big Show (officially due to Daniel Bryan hitting him on the head with the WHC belt) and has been replaced by… Santino Marella (expect Drew McIntyre to interfere somehow…).

BIG SHOW: is still rumored to face Shaquille o’Neal at WrestleMania28 (impossible if he is WHC )

DANIEL BRYAN: his storyline and character have become boring to the public. He is more hateful with every passing day, and has retained the WHC title for awhile now.

WADE BARRETT: his main opponent (Orton) is gone, Big Show will most likely be busy with Daniel Bryan, Marella has been defeated by him countless of times… Of course, he can still be eliminated by the Great Khali but the lack of poise and balance from the Indian wrestler will surely play against him; or he’ll surely be attacked by Cody Rhodes who posed himself as Wade’s enemy recently. But if one of those two ever manage (in La La Land) to pin Barrett, they’ll be eliminated by someone else later. Nobody would be interested to see Sheamus vs Great Khali at WrestleMania, and it could still be a bit early for Cody Rhodes…

So… It seems that Wade Barrett could be the favorite for tonight’s match, and become the first historical British born World Heavyweight Champion. This has been his dream since his young age… And tonight, that dream might finally become true!

Recently, Wade posted on Twitter:

2 years ago this week, I made my WWE debut on NXT1. On Sunday, I become World Heavyweight Champion. Not bad. <s>#</s>BarrettBarrage

Now, more than ever, at Wade-Barrett.com, we believe in that future!

Big Show & The Great Khali def. Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes

Despite the noticeable cohesion between the Barrett Barrage and the current Intercontinental Champion, the size and power of Big Show combined with Khali would be just enough to overcome their fellow Elimination Chamber opponents on SmackDown this evening. However, a much different outcome is to be expected in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match this Sunday, and even Cody Rhodes who has found himself a beneficial partner in Barrett could be another victim of the Barrage along with Show, Khali, and the rest of the opposition.

Later in the show, Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes would confront SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long about the open spot in the Elimination Chamber match left by Randy Orton, whose recent injuries got the better of him and left him out of Sunday’s match.

Tulsa, OK – Wade Barrett had a few corrections to make in Sheamus’s public announcement of his immediate plans for WrestleMania 28. The Celtic Warrior won the 2012 Royal Rumble match, yet he still has to face the wrath of the Barrett Barrage in this year’s SmackDown Elimination Chamber match. The bare-knuckle fighter and the Great White confronted one another at the beginning of SmackDown about their respective paths on the road to WrestleMania, and Cody Rhodes as well as the Big Show would have a few things to say as well, leading to physical on top of verbal confrontation and a tag team match.

Sheamus & Big Show def. Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes

Although the team of Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes could verbally counter the Big Show earlier on tonight’s SmackDown, it was the team of Big Show & Sheamus who would score the victory. Both Barrett and Rhodes delivered a fight to their opposing team with Rhodes being brutalized by Big Show and Barrett then next in the ring to battle the World’s Largest Athlete after Rhodes took his beating. The in-ring action then saw the English Superstar fighting it out with his Irish nemesis. It was the Celtic Warrior, however, who would take the match for the win after a powerful Brogue Kick to Barrett.

In the previous article about the possible matches we could see at WrestleMania 28, there was this scenario:

#3- WHC title: Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan: It’d be the case where the “bad guy” is american, and the “good guy” is from… uh… some place announced on the world map as “Here Be Dragons”. Yet, the way Daniel Bryan’s heel-turn has been built recently, the crowd would probably root for the one whom John Cena once called the “human jar mayonnaise”, cheering Sheamus as Hero (and totally justifying that he’d strip Daniel Bryan from that belt).

The advantage in this 3rd case for the WWE: it would leave an open spot for another interesting – and totally storyline-justified – match: Wade Barrett vs Randy Orton into something like a “Breaking Career” match, ending their feud, and having one of them taking holidays/WWE-promos for a few weeks after that. This would be a bit deja-vu for Randy Orton. He already had a similar brutal type of match last year at WrestleMania27. Against another Nexus leader: CM Punk.

An announcement for matches on RAW and SMACKDOWN just after WrestleMania 28 would tend to increase that probability.

RAW – 2012, April 2nd – Miami FLORIDA:

Main Event = 8-Man Tag Team match: John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton & Big Show versus Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Kane & Mark Henry.

If we considered the probability in both team to have at least one champ, we could deduce that:

team Face:

- WWE champ: CM Punk
- WHC champ: Randy Orton

team Heel:
- WWE champ: Chris Jericho
- WHC champ: Daniel Bryan

We also see “duos” such as:
- John Cena vs Kane (would it mean that Kane will interfere in Cena’s match against The Rock at WM28?)
- CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
- Big Show vs Mark Henry
- Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan (the continuation of the feud that started on SmackDown 2012.02.10 )

No sign of either Sheamus or Wade Barrett. We could easily deduce that they will have another (memorable) match that evening, BUT…:

SMACKDOWN – 2012, April 3rd – Orlando, Florida:

Main Event = 10 man Tag-Team: John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Big Show and… Sheamus versus Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Mark Henry, and… The Miz.

See? Though – with the actual feuds – Wade Barrett should logically be Sheamus’ nemesis in this larger version of RAW tag-team match. Yet, he is replaced by… The Miz???

So, on RAW the day before, will we have a Sheamus vs The Miz instead in a… Champion vs Champion match? This could work if both left WrestleMania as champs. Does that mean that The Miz is going to win the EC chamber for RAW (with Daniel Bryan for SMACKDOWN) and have a WWE title match against the winner from a “CM Punk vs Chris Jericho” match?

.
But most of everything: WHERE IS WADE BARRETT?

His absence from both shows could be justified if he was “incapacitated” after his WM28 match in a… “Career Break” type match versus Randy Orton – with the Viper getting his revenge over the “I believe I can fly (over steel stairs)”.

Remember, after his return from his “injury”, Randy Orton announced this:

“What’s in store for Wade Barrett? Well, I’m about to go show him how to properly put someone’s career on a shelf”.

In this case, will the REVENGE OF WRESTLEMANIA tour mean for Wade his revenge over the Viper? Or will he be “out of wrestling due to injuries” for a few weeks like they did earlier for Randy Orton?

As the UK tour will start very few after WRESTLEMANIA, it would be a bad, VERY bad move from the WWE to deprive the UK fans of one of their highest representatives.

With the final casting announced for the SMACKDOWN part of the ELIMINATION CHAMBER PPV, many speculations have risen regarding what might happen inside that dreaded cage, and who might come out of it as (New) World Heavyweight Champion, ultimately facing Sheamus at WRESTLEMANIA 28 on April 1st 2012.

The following analysis takes into account the recent SmackDown episodes, as well as some… uh… strange House Show event which occurred recently.

On the HEEL side: Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Daniel Bryan (those of you who still saw D.Bryan as a Face, really need to learn what Hypocrisy & Manipulative B*st*rd mean).
On the FACE side: The Big Show, Randy Orton (though if you say you rather see him as a Tweener, I promise: you won’t be sent to the stake), and The Great Khali (in replacement of Heel(?) Mark Henry, injured).

Sheamus hasn’t chosen yet which champion (WWE or WHC) he’ll face at WrestleMania and keeps the suspense, teasing both RAW & SMACKDOWN side. But with the probability to have a Chris Jericho vs CM Punk for the WWE title at WrestleMania, Sheamus will most likely choose to face the SmackDown champion for the WHC title.

Now, in the picture below, RED = the tension/hatred relationships & GREEN = the alliances

A quick glance can teach you several things:
- The Heels are much more organized than the Faces. Though it will be “every man for himself” in the cage, alliances created by Wade Barrett clearly announce that the Faces might have a really rough time at the beginning if they don’t temporary put aside their difference and gather.
- Randy Orton - the one who claimed he would be a 10-times champion (WWE & WHC) soon – starts with some bad omens as he obviously managed to get on everybody‘s nerves!

.
As Sheamus is a FACE, his SmackDown opponent at WrestleMania 28 would most likely be a Heel (or a eventually Tweener in Randy Orton’s case):
- Daniel Bryan: he announced last year that he would main event WrestleMania and leave as the World Heavyweight Champion. But this was back when he had promised not to cash his MITB contract before WM (false!). He’s also busy building/confirming his Heel-turn as the one manipulating AJ’s feelings and adding to The Big Show’s guilt. If the outcome of that storyline (AJ waking up, or making a Heel-turn) isn’t brought in a hurry, Daniel Bryan is going to be busy for a few more weeks with the Big Show. Thus, he woudn’t be 100% focused on a feud with Sheamus preparing their WM28 match.
- Cody Rhodes: he has improved a lot these past months, but is actually in a feud against Justin Gabriel for the Inter-Continental title. Even if he lost his IC title on Smackdown 2012.02.17, passing directly to WH champ would be too soon for him.
- Wade Barrett: after being buried for many months, he has come back with an impressive victory streak, he nicely offered a few all-expenses-paid Holiday weeks to Randy Orton (even after the latter angrily refused to buy his book: “How to Fly Safely over Steel Stairs”), he got a new tee-shirt, a new theme… And even if his Barrett Barrage has suffered a bit recently, it is still holding on. What doesn’t kill him, will only make him stronger.
- Randy Orton: actually in “career-maker” mode, involved in a feud with almost anything that moves over the Mid-cart level, actually pushing Wade under the spotlights, but also starting to get involved with Daniel Bryan (now, that someone wants to kick D.Bryan’s arse is completely understandable…). He displayed a few impressive RKOs lately and more than ever (esp. since his injury), the crowd is behind him.

.
On Marketing level: What kind of a match would make people most likely pay to see WrestleMania?

#1- WHC title: Sheamus vs Randy Orton: those two are at the top of the food-chain on SmackDown. Orton is one of the key marketing asset for the WWE. The public would be totally unable to guess who’d be winner of such a match. And to a public (live crowd & TV viewers) mostly american: one of the fighters is from USA. As both are (+-) Faces, such a match would be placed more for Sport/Stunt performances rather than just for a storyline.

#2- WHC title: Sheamus vs Wade Barrett: those two are getting a huge push, they have been opposed quite often in the past (TV & House shows), and matches from House Shows are reported as “Really Good”. Yet, even if Wade scored a few victories over Sheamus, people would probably most likely imagine such a match ending with a brogue kick through the Barrett Barrage. Here at wade-barrett.com, we are – of course – crossing fingers & toes for an ending such as: World Heavyweight champion Wade Barrett keeping his title at WrestleMania by defeating Sheamus with an impressive and memorable Wasteland through the ring (preferably just before John Cena’s match, so that he’ll be pissed off again…). The only problem – regarding American audience – is that both competitors are “foreigners”. The lack of any patriotic icon for the public to identify themselves to, could play against such a match.

Against another Nexus leader: CM Punk.

.
But now, regardless of all the probabilities above, at Wade-Barrett.com all we want is our favorite Jackal to fulfill his dreams and become the first British-born World Heavyweight Champion!

The ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA has begun this past week-end with two special shows for SMACKDOWN, and already, strange things has started to appear. This Saturday February 4, at Spokane, Washington, the public present for the live show witnessed something that has since been added to the growing list of signs heralding the coming of the Apocalypse.

First of all, Wade Barrett faced Sheamus in a match chosen by the fans: a Street Fight. The whole match was qualified as REALLY GOOD, which served as a lesson for the many haters who firmly believed that Randy Orton had destroyed the Barrett Barrage this Friday night on SmackDown. Remember what Wade uses to say: What doesn’t kill him, will only make him stronger.

But what has rather been seen as an additional sign of the approaching end of days was the following: during the WHC title match opposing Big Show to Daniel Bryan, Wade brought Jinder Mahal with him in order to help… the actual World Heavyweight champion. No, you’re not dreaming. WADE BARRETT helped DANIEL BRYAN!!! One of the persons he used to despise the most since NXT. Remember that not so long ago, those two were not exactly friendly towards each other.

Now I can already hear worried voices asking questions such as: Did Randy Orton hit Wade’s head too hard on the steel chair when he RKOed him the day before on SmackDown? Did Wade lost a bet? These days, people don’t look that eager to be seen by Daniel Bryan’s side, so … Would it be just a huge marketing campaign created by the WWE in the sole purpose of preparing us for a new Wade Barrett tee-shirt?

Well, you perfectly know that Wade is the first person to admit when he makes a mistake, and he never hesitates to publicly apologize to everyone, because he strongly cares about what people think about him. He’s not a professional backstabber, his alliances are strong and last a lifetime. His teammates know they can totally trust him because he’s never going to betray them for something as superficial as a championship belt.

But most of everything: don’t worry about the consequences such an alliance with Daniel Bryan could have for Wade. Remember that he has the brain of a chess player trapped inside the body of a wrestler. He won’t make any move unless he planned 4 or 5 steps in advance. And the moment his opponent will realize that Wade has been playing with two queens all along, it will already be too late.
